Following her graduation, Ms. Yoong joined Perunding Hashim & Neh Sdn. Bhd. and was responsible for the design of hospital at Seremban and Langkawi, MAS Hanger at Subang Airport, Stadium at Kuantan and 11 storey office block at Jalan Ampang.

She joined Perunding KCT in 1996 and was responsible for the design of Phoenix Business Park, Menara Zaitun at Kuala Lumpur, and Hotel Nusantara, Kuala Lumpur.

She then joined Kesh Consult Sdn. Bhd. and was responsible for the design of shopping mall at Metro Prima for Jaya Jusco Sdn. Bhd., 4 blocks of 15 to 21 storeys of condominium for Sunway Damansara Sdn. Bhd, industrial building at Shah Alam for Jaring Metal Sdn. Bhd, multi-storey steel buildings for UiTM Hostel at Machang Campus, Kelantan and Dungun Campus, Terengganu for Maju Holdings Sdn. Bhd, large span warehouse facilities at Shah Alam for Tiong Nam and 104 meter 3 span post-tensioned bridge over Sungai Klang for DBKL. Her design experience include precast concrete, post-tensioned prestressed concrete, and cast- in-situ flat slab design. She has vast experience in the design of behavior of steel structures including steel detailing.

At Keshmen Consult, she is currently responsible for the design and coordination of various projects of Keshmen Consult Sdn. Bhd. Completed projects include the design of AU2 Shopping Mall, Bandar Baru Ampang, Mukim Ulu Kelang for AEON Co. (M) Bhd, Shopping Complex at Bandar Bukit Tinggi 2, Klang for AEON Co. (M) Bhd. and various bungalows design for Keshmen USA. Latest projects include 3 blocks of 32 storeys highrise condominium for BCB Berhad, 521 units bungalow for BCB Dev. Sdn Bhd, 3-unit bungalows at Taman Yarl, OUG for BCB Bhd, extension of Cinema at AU2 Shopping Mall for AEON Co. (M) Bhd.
